Modeled on a pre-war Martin spec OM style 000 guitar from Martin’s Golden Era or Hey Day of the 1930’s. Martin have revisited the past to create a model of guitar with all the original features of an Original OM style guitar.

OM stands for orchestral model

The OM model changed in 1933 to the 000.

Original OM and 1933 000 features were:

Scalloped X top bracing - spruce top- rosewood back and sides - ebony board ebony bridge - 14 frets to the body, small dot inlays on the fingerboard, and open back Grover tuners.

All of these features have been incorporated in the New OM-21. Original OM guitar models were 28-18-45
