1967 Gibson Burgundy Sparkle ES-330
This is without doubt one of the cleanest examples of a Gibson Burgundy Sparkle ES-330 you will find.
Burgundy Sparkle was an optional finish only available on the ES-330 from 1967 to 1969.
Most Burgundy Sparkle guitars have faded over time. This example, however, has retained its original colour except for a little fading on the back of the neck due to "hand heat." This is how Gibson intended this finish to look!
There is none of the normal colour discolouration usually associated with this finish. The Burgundy Sparkle finish was prone to fading due to ultraviolet light and this resulted in the red lacquer topcoat fading into the gold undercoat. The result was that the guitar took on a rather unattractive brownish overall colour.
The guitar has chrome plated hardware, two P90 pickups, trapeze tailpiece, tune-o-matic bridge, and block markers.
The stunning guitar comes with its original black Gibson soft shell case which is also in extremely good original condition.
